Income Report 2024-12 | $2.9k in Dec | Goal Reached!

I am ending the year with $2.981 received in dividends in December. Below are the dividends I collected for 16 companies.

The largest dividend was paid from Link Reit, my favorite Asian real estate investment trust.

$ENB, $UL, $BEP, and $SHEL keep paying solid dividends of $200+ every quarter, each representing a nice dinner with my family.

Yearly Income Report – A Review

Let’s zoom out and look how the year 2024 did compared to previous years.

I started my dividend portfolio in May 2020, with the aim of rebalancing my gains from my crypto portfolio into more conservative blue-chip dividend stocks.

My first purchases were from Mondelez, Welltower, and BHP.

The original aim was to build up a portfolio that generates a constant stream of passive income. Now, about five year later, I am getting about $2,500 per month, after achieving my annual goal of $30,000 in dividends in 2024.

Most long-term dividend investors see a similar dividend progress chart like the one below. Seeing how the amount in the income reports keeps on increasing is both exciting and motivating.

I find the chart below the most interesting one. The month of May is an outlier because most of my European dividend stocks pay their dividends then. You can see which European stocks I hold further below.

I am looking forward to my income reports in 2025, especially seeing how I will do in the month of May, as several German dividend payers might not be able to pay dividends at all!

Stablecoin Farm Income Report

In December, I sold $227,000 worth of HBAR, SOL, and ETH, and started building up a stablecoin farm.

It currently looks like this, showing how much I earned in December in the last column.

I am currently in experimentation mode and am trying out different chains and Dapps, to find which ones offer the best APYs, and the best user-friendliness.

Disregard the “earned” amount for now because, for example, on Nostra, I only put in $50k in the second half of December. January will be the first month I leave the amounts untouched for a month.

I LOVE seeing my coins work hard day and night. As the amounts update every minute, I enjoy checking how the farms do daily.

On the 30th of each month, I scalp aka settle all the earned fees or gains into a separate and new position. This position, in return, starts earning yield on stablecoins. For now, I am using Compound on Polygon, currently paying me 7.97% on USDT.

Besides my stablecoin farm, I also spend a lot of time following the whole AI Agent space. My most recent investment in the Virtuals Protocol went well. I invested $3,443 back in November when the Virtuals token was $0.475, and now it sits at $4.50, a 9x in 1.5 months.

Since then I sold 2,250 Virtuals at $2.48 and will keep the 5,000 for now.

Overall Portfolio Performance

Financially, 2024 was a fantastic year for me.

Although my dividend portfolio did not do well (because I essentially am purposefully underweight tech), it’s my crypto portfolio that went from $1m to $2.3m. The crypto fund I invested $200k in, in 2023, is not included in the chart below.

I feel I am now overweight crypto, hence I started to rebalance profits into stablecoins.

Goals for 2025

My aim for my dividend portfolio in 2025 is to invest a further $75,000, to make it a total of $1,2 Mio, and generate $36k in dividends in total ($3k/mo).

My goal for my crypto portfolio is to build up a $1 Mio stablecoin farm, also generating $36k in the year.

I plan to simplify my thematic portfolios by unloading smaller positions where the investment thesis did not pan out.

I am still very bullish on nuclear energy and other commodities such as Silver, Platinum, Nat Gas, Oil, and plan to add to, or build new positions.

Conclusion

This wraps up my income report for 2024.

Overall, a stellar year, both financially and personally. I believe 2025 will not be a peaceful year, and actually very turbulent.

My goal is to basically sit still, and let everything take its course and flow, like a strong stone in a rapid river.
